Horse Race Format

Horse Race – Often called a Derby, the Horserace format is played as two person teams alternating shots, all players/teams tee-off in a pre-determined order on the 1st tee. After the 3rd hole, teams with the highest combined score over the first three holes are eliminated (to leave 6 teams).  The remaining teams play hole 7 and the team with the highest score is eliminated. This continues until hole 9 (where 4 teams remain). The final four teams play the final hole and the low score on that hole is the "win", the second place team is the "place" and the third place team is the "show".

At all points where a cut is made, a chip-off is used to break ties.
